Overview
As a Transport Supervisor, you\’ll play a key role in ensuring our transport operations run efficiently, safely, and in line with all regulations. Working closely with drivers, warehouse teams, and external stakeholders, you\’ll take ownership of performance, compliance, and customer delivery targets across varying shift patterns.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations and personnel, including drivers and dispatch staff.
- Manage and maintain the company fleet, ensuring all vehicles are regularly serviced, safe, roadworthy, and compliant with legal and environmental standards.
- Schedule and optimise routes to maximise efficiency and minimise fuel costs and delays.
- Track fleet performance, fuel usage, mileage, and maintenance costs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods in line with customer and business requirements.
- Maintain accurate transport and vehicle records, including licenses, insurance, inspection logs, and repair history.
- Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety checks and training sessions for drivers.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising drivers and/or warehouse teams.
- Working knowledge of transport compliance, safety, and vehicle inspections.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and people development skills.
