James Kemball Ltd , part of the GB Global Group , is seeking a proactive and highly organised Transport Operator (Nights) to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a transport professional with container haulage experience who thrives under pressure and is passionate about delivering exceptional service to customers while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and operational excellence.
What you'll be doing:- Plan and manage the daily operation of container trucks efficiently and effectively.
Monitor transport operations and respond to issues such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and other service disruptions.
Ensure full compliance with Operators Licence requirements, Drivers Hours Regulations, and Working Time Directive legislation.
Manage and support employed drivers, agency drivers, and subcontractors.
Work closely with the Fleet Department to ensure all vehicle defects are actioned immediately and that VOR vehicles remain off the road until repairs are completed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring service expectations are consistently achieved.
