James Kemball part of the GB Global Group is seeking a Transport Planner to join their team in South Kirkby. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring Operator's License and drivers hours legislation are adhered to Dealing with any issues that arise impacting operations, including traffic delays, breakdowns, accidents Managing drivers including agency drivers and subcontractors Alongside Fleet Department Maintain and action all defects immediately following the correct process and ensure any VOR vehicles are kept off the road until rectified Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements to achieve service expectations Drive high standards and flag opportunities for process improvement To ensure constructive relationships with all customers are maintained and developed To undertake any duties as may reasonably be required Experience & Skills: Proven Container transport experience Experience within a customer service background Experience in a fast-moving logistics environment Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel Attention to detail supported by high quality written and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt to changes within the work environment Problem solver Excellent multitasking skills Ability to work under pressure, be well organised and to meet deadlines Willingness to learn roles Benefits: Competitive salary Day shift working pattern Overtime opportunities Training and development opportunities Pension scheme Holiday entitlement Opportunity to work within a growing container and logistics operation
