Uniserve, a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic team. Our drivers are integral to our business, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of products to our valued customers. Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, occasional nights out may be required.
Salary: £35,700 annual. We also have a bonus scheme of £2000 paid quarterly based on certain criteria to be discussed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily vehicle checks in accordance with company procedures to ensure roadworthiness.
- Report vehicle defects immediately, following company protocols.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of company vehicles.
- Report any customer complaints to the Transport team promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all current EU road transport regulations.
- Safely secure freight for transit, avoiding overloading by weight or capacity.
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and security of the vehicle when unattended.
- Undertake other duties on-site when not engaged in the primary role.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Holds a valid HGV LGV Class 2 minimum license.
- Holds a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card) and actively maintains qualifications.
- Holds a Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on your license.
- Commercial driving experience.
- Proficient in reporting customer complaints and vehicle defects following company procedures.
- ADR awareness or full ADR training is desirable but not essential.
