We are recruiting a reliable and experiencedClass 1 (C+E) Night Driverto support a dedicated shunting operation between our Rugby factory site and Daventry warehouse.

This role involves the safe and efficient movement of trailers between sites, ensuring production and warehouse operations are fully supported overnight. This is a regular, planned operation with consistent routes, start times, and workloads, suited to drivers who value stability and routine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out night-time shunting movements between the Rugby factory and Daventry warehouse
  • Safely couple and uncouple trailers, ensuring all connections are secure
  • Complete vehicle and trailer checks in line with company and legal requirements
  • Ensure loads are transported safely, securely, and in line with site rules
  • Maintain accurate completion of all required paperwork and digital records
  • Adhere to Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive, and company compliance standards
  • Communicate effectively with site teams, transport planners, and supervisors
  • Represent the business professionally when on customer and factory sites
  • Report defects, delays, or incidents promptly in line with company procedures

Skills & Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience (shunting or trunking preferred)Good understanding of drivers hours and compliance requirements
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on night shifts
  • Previous experience working on factory or warehouse sites (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with night operations and controlled shunt movements (Desirable)
