Uniserve Group is the UKs largest privately owned logistics and global trade management provider. As part of our commitment to excellence, safety, and operational integrity, we are recruiting a Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to support our Droitwich site.

As the Health, Safety & Facilities Manager, you will coordinate all aspects of Health, Safety and Facilities management across the Droitwich operation. Working closely with the Deputy Group H&S Manager, you'll ensure our site remains compliant, safe, secure and operating to the highest standards. You'll be hands-on, visible, and confident engaging with colleagues at all levels, supporting managers, challenging unsafe behaviours, and embedding a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day Health & Safety management across the Droitwich site, ensuring full compliance with legislation, company policies and industry standards.
  • Support managers with accident investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions, promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain all H&S documentation, audits, statutory checks and ISO-related requirements to ensure the site is always inspection-ready.
  • Oversee facilities management including equipment maintenance, fire safety systems, emergency lighting, waste management and minor site projects.
  • Manage site security measures including access control, CCTV, alarms and loss-prevention processes.
  • Deliver site inductions, in-house training, MHE assessments and H&S learning content to ensure colleagues are competent and confident in their roles.
  • Coordinate contractor management, ensuring safe systems of work and compliance with permit processes.
  • Provide accurate reporting, maintain training matrices and ensure statutory inspections and safety-critical maintenance are completed on time.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Facility Management (or equivalent).
  • MHE trainer preferable (training can be given to right candidate).
  • MHE licence / Instructor certificate (desirable).
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C or above).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proven experience coaching and developing others.

  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent people management and engagement skills.
  • High level of IT literacy.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently as well as part of a team.
