At Uniserve, we operate multiple trade centre hubs situated strategically across the UK, each dedicated to amplifying the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain processes in the handling and distribution of trading goods. We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Tramper Driver to join our transport operation based in Corby. This role requires tramping with four nights out per week, sleeping in the cab. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers nationwide, maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance at all times.
Salary: Β£39,795 per annum + night out allowance
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out Class 1 HGV driving duties in accordance with UK driving laws and company procedures
- Tramping role requiring 4 nights per week spent in the cab
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Secure loads correctly and ensure goods are transported safely
- Maintain accurate records, including tachograph and delivery paperwork
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and site personnel
- Adhere to all health & safety, road traffic, and working time regulations
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience (tramping experience preferred)
- Comfortable with nights out and sleeping in the cab four nights per week
- Good understanding of drivers hours and working time directive
- Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
