We are seeking an Apprentice Transport Administrator to support the day-to-day administrative operations of the transport department. This role is designed to develop your skills and knowledge in transport administration whilst working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification in Level 3 Business Administration.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08.00 - 18.00
Key Duties:
- Assisting with the preparation, processing, and filing of transport service paperwork
- Supporting the administration of vehicle and driver records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Ordering, issuing, and tracking driver uniforms and PPE
- Liaising with drivers regarding documentation, uniform requirements, and daily queries
- Assisting with daily transport schedules and operational tasks
- Updating internal systems and spreadsheets with transport-related information
- Supporting audits, compliance checks, and record-keeping activities
- Communicating with internal teams and external suppliers as required
- Carrying out general administrative duties to support the transport function
Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE including Maths/English
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop within a transport environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a team
