The Vacancy

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for keeping things moving through the night? We’re looking for a Night Transport Supervisor to oversee the nightly operations of our busy transport fleet. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to lead from the front, we’d love to hear from you.

Shift: Nights, 4 on 4 off 12 hours 18.30pm-06.30am.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all night transport operations to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient deliveries.
  • Manage driver schedules, monitor performance, and conduct shift briefings.
  • Track vehicle movements and address any incidents or route issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to safety and transport regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operational handovers.
  • Support driver training, performance, and development.
  • Report on KPIs and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within transport or logistics (night shift).
  • Solid understanding of transport compliance, vehicle scheduling, and route planning.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient with transport management systems (TMS), route planning software, and MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license (C+E license is a plus).
  • Knowledge of West Yorkshire road networks and traffic patterns is advantageous.
