Transport Planner in London

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Transport Planner to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across our network.
Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday (05.00 to 15.00, 08.00 to 18.00 & 10.00 to 20.00).
We would be looking for the right candidate to be flexible in working all 3, when required.
What you\’ll be doing:

• Route Planning: Design efficient delivery routes considering distance, traffic, and deadlines.
• Driver Management: Manage and support drivers on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations.
• Load Coordination: Ensure proper load distribution and vehicle capacity with warehouse staff.
• Fleet Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance and utilisation.
• Delivery Monitoring: Track progress and provide updates to customers.
• Customer Service: Handle inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
• Cost Management: Optimise resources and reduce operational costs.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards.
• Data Analysis: Analyse performance data and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with warehouse, drivers, and other teams for smooth operations.

What you\’ll bring:

• Experience in working within a busy transport operation.
• Experience in planning multi drop groupage routes.
• Knowledge of fleet operations and driver hours needed.
• Flexibility with working hours and shifts is required.
• A collaborative and team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic.
