Overview
Seafast Group have been providing market-leading, end-to-end logistics solutions for Customers, including well-known global brands, focusing on our core areas of Refrigerated Cargo, Remote Locations & Humanitarian Relief. We are seeking a proactive, detail‑driven Assistant Finance Manager to support financial reporting, operational analysis, and day‑to‑day finance activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is committed to delivering accurate, high‑quality financial information. This is a fixed term role for 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare weekly SCCL P&L reports
- Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of journals and accruals
- Generate weekly freight forwarding revenue KPIs and Gross Profit reports for Seafast Logistics
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Deliver monthly reports for Operations and Leadership meetings, including:
- Invoicing accuracy
- Purchase query statistics
- Job loss analysis
- Aged WIPs, accruals, and debt updates
- Sales query statistics
- Process recharges
- Upload and code credit card expenses
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes
- Assist and guide junior finance team members
- Provide support on day‑to‑day finance queries
- Highly organised and proactive
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Part‑qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles
- Excellent Excel skills
