We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded individual to support the sales and operational activity of our Events business at Christ Church Spitalfields. This part-time role is focused exclusively on driving enquiries, conversions, and brand visibility, supporting revenue growth across conferences, meetings, private events, with a focus on Wedding and Filming enquiries. It is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, marketing activity, and the momentum of generating new business, and is able to work within a small team effectively and flexibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales
- Own enquiries end to end: discovery, proposal development, follow up and close
- Act as a key point of contact for event enquiries via email and phone - including a focus on Wedding Enquiries
- Respond to and convert incoming enquiries in line with agreed targets and current processes
- Manage and update the events diary in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Maintain event packages, pricing, and sales tools, including the in house catering operation
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system, ensuring all data is updated daily
- Track conversion rates and analyse performance by event type
- Analyse forecasts to identify risks and growth opportunities
- Support the development of new revenue streams, including preferred suppliers and external partners
- Operations
- Act as key point of contact on event day to the client, security, event assistants, and AV technician
- Ensure the venue is set up appropriately according to site visit requirements
- Oversee the in house catering operations - either as the lead, or oversee the appointment of a freelance manager
- Marketing
- Support the delivery of the annual marketing plan in line with overall business strategy
- Assist with listings, and promotional activity
- Manage and optimise online venue listings and marketing budgets
- Research market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
- Attend networking events and industry functions where required to promote the venue
Requirements
- Proven experience in an event / hospitality sales role - minimum of 2 years preferred
- Proven catering and event operational experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience selling events with catering or venue space (preferred)
- Confident using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven
