What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a talented Corporate Sales Manager to deliver and execute the corporate sales strategy at Troxy. This role will initially provide maternity cover, before moving into a similar position at another venue within our portfolio. This person will lead the end-to-end corporate sales pipeline, managing all private hire and corporate event sales outside of the live ticketed sector - from initial enquiry through to contracting and client handover. They will also oversee corporate marketing, PR, and client relationship management to support growth. They will be accountable for corporate revenue performance, managing and developing the Corporate Sales Team while representing the Troxy brand across the corporate events industry.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Successfully delivering the sales strategy with the support of the sales team, including managing and driving the full corporate sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to contract signing and client handover to event delivery team.
- Diary management to maximise occupancy and profitability.
- Identifying new events, opportunities, and markets through proactive business development and outreach.
- Maintaining accurate data recording and pipeline tracking via CRM software to support reporting and forecasting.
- Building and nurturing strong client and agency relationships to drive repeat and referral business.
- Delivering targeted marketing initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.
- Ensuring all sales targets are achieved, with KPIs and conversion metrics consistently monitored and optimised.
- Ensuring the highest standards of sales operations across the spaces.
- Working with the line manager and Spaces & Stories to deliver proactive, data-led sales strategies that support both short and long-term performance.
- Leading on the conversion and negotiation of contracts, including high-value and complex deals, ensuring efficient progression through to contracting and invoicing stages.
- Managing incoming enquiries across email and telephone, developing bespoke proposals tailored to client needs.
- Proactively following up on all opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
- Carrying out site visits and venue tours, confidently presenting spaces, supplier options, and event logistics.
- Ensuring all clients align with brand values and operational requirements.
Marketing:
- Working with the line manager, central Marketing team, and space leadership to deliver data-led corporate marketing and PR strategies.
- Leading on corporate marketing activity, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and commercial objectives.
- Acting as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency and growth of the brand across all corporate channels.
- Managing and optimising corporate listings, promotional activity, and partnerships to maximise reach and ROI.
- Attending networking events, exhibitions, FAM trips and other promotional activities to actively promote Troxy and other spaces in our Spaces portfolio when required.
Finance:
- Ensuring compliance with Broadwick group policies, procedures, and financial controls.
- Managing event financials end-to-end, including raising invoices, monitoring payment schedules, and chasing outstanding debt.
- Working closely with operations and finance teams to ensure all events are fully reconciled within agreed timeframes.
- Supporting accurate forecasting and reporting into the space P&L, providing insights to senior stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate financial records across all contracted deals and highlighting any discrepancies or risks.
Operations:
- Working closely with the operations team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to delivery, with clear client handover and event documentation.
- Supporting key events onsite where required, particularly high-profile or VIP clients, acting as a senior point of contact.
- Ensuring all activity aligns with Broadwick operational standards and procedures.
Team:
- Supporting the line manager with recruitment across the sales team.
- Leading the performance, development, and day-to-day management of direct reports.
- Providing coaching, training, and guidance to ensure consistent delivery of sales standards and KPIs.
- Creating a high-performance work environment that aligns with Broadwick and Troxy values and principles.
Other:
- Carrying out ad hoc duties as required to support the commercial success of the spaces.
You’ll need to have:
- A proven track record of delivering business development and sales strategies within complex, multifaceted venues or within the live events, hospitality, or corporate events sectors.
- Strong experience managing and driving a full sales pipeline from enquiry through to contract closure and client handover.
- At least 4 years’ experience within an event venue sales, corporate sales, or business development role.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen, including experience in sales negotiations, closing deals, maximising revenue, and consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Experience managing, influencing, and developing teams, with the ability to inspire high performance and accountability.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills, with a solutions-focused approach to client needs.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, prioritise effectively, and work at pace.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong B2B client and agency relationships, driving repeat and referral business.
- Confident using CRM systems to manage enquiries, track pipeline activity, and support forecasting and reporting.
- Experience delivering against sales budgets, with an understanding of P&Ls, forecasting, and financial reporting in collaboration with finance teams.
- Strong understanding of how to collaborate with marketing, brand, and venue teams to deliver data-led marketing strategies and drive B2B engagement.
- Ability to monitor, manage, and report on team KPIs, conversion rates, and sales performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create compelling client proposals and presentations.
- Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, remaining calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards across all client interactions and sales materials.
- A proactive, positive approach with an open and honest communication style.
- Proficiency in Mac or PC computers and Microsoft Office packages.
Nice to have:
- Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM systems to manage sales pipelines and reporting.
- Familiarity with venue booking or event management systems (e.g. Eventworks, Priava, Artifax, VenueOps).
- Experience working with corporate event agencies and strong knowledge of the corporate events market.
- Experience supporting or delivering marketing campaigns, or working closely with PR and marketing teams to drive B2B engagement.
- Experience managing a small team, including setting KPIs, performance management, and staff development.
- Understanding of financial processes relating to event sales, including invoicing, payment tracking, and contract compliance.
- Experience representing a venue or brand at industry events, trade shows, or networking opportunities.
