Due to continued growth and the expansion of our manufacturing operation, Unique Van Linings Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Operator to support the next phase of our production development. This is not a standard machine operating role. We are looking for an individual based in or near Ossett, West Yorkshire, who can bring experience, initiative and technical capability to our manufacturing team whilst helping support the development of our afternoon production shift. Working primarily on a 4:00pm – Midnight shift, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining production output, quality standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, programme adjustments and operate CNC machinery.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production information.
- Ensure components are manufactured accurately and efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement of machining processes.
- Assist with training and mentoring other operators.
- Maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping.
- Support production planning and machine utilisation.
- Assist with troubleshooting machine and production issues.
- Act as a senior point of contact within the manufacturing team during shift operations.
What We're Looking For
- Proven CNC operating experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of quality control and production processes.
- Experience of CNC programming or programme optimisation would be advantageous.
- Joinery, woodworking, panel processing or sheet material manufacturing experience desirable.
- Positive attitude with the ability to lead by example.
