UTS provide specialist training, qualifications and hiring solutions to the Health Housing and Social Care industries. We are looking to hire a highly commercial Marketing Manager who has a genuine ability to connect our service with the right companies to create commercial opportunity and deliver brand excellence.

This position will suit someone that has 5+ years' experience building sales-led marketing collateral within the Education / Training / Learning and Development sector and fully understands the engagement of consultancy or professional service-based stakeholder decision making. This position is offered as hybrid with an ideal 2-3 days working alongside the Business Development and Delivery functions in our Head Office based in St Albans. Flexible hours can be considered once capability is proven.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager that is strategic but is also happy to have sleeves up and deliver across all aspects of marketing. We are a small leadership team in a business that requires understanding of process, data driven decision making and can work fast paced and “get stuff done”. This is an all-round marketing role so you will need to have extensive experience in content creation, CRM management and development (ideally HubSpot), event management, proposals and sales pitches.

The role

  • Build brand awareness, by creating relevant and engaging content to develop our social community presence and directly increase client engagement through our website and email marketing campaigns.
  • Curate fantastic sales and proposal materials that our Business Development teams can use to win new business. Ensuring that content is reflective of positioning within our sector and covers the relevant whole business or individual product approach.
  • Work alongside Business Development to produce market “client audience” maps and new sell, cross sell and up sell opportunities.
  • Build and use data to position UTS as thought leaders across training, qualifications and talent in our growing sectors.
  • Ensure consistent marketing design and messaging across all platforms.
  • Take ownership of our CRM (HubSpot) and develop its positioning to ensure customer growth and success.
  • Take the lead in promoting UTS at relevant events and awards opportunities.

The person

  • 5 years+ marketing experience within a varied marketing role within a small, growing B2B business. Preference will be given to professional services and or experience in sector.
  • Demonstrate a high understanding of the tone and audiences in our sectors.
  • Project focussed, able to get work across the line across various projects.
  • 2+ years’ experience of HubSpot.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, PPT, WordPress (ideally) and Google Analytics.
  • Be analytical – we want to see what’s working and what isn’t and use data to make good decisions.
  • Be commercially minded – we don’t want to just run good looking campaigns we want to smash into new markets, win new business and attract some great attention.
  • Be on the ball - we are a busy company we need you to communicate with senior management and the wider team.
  • Be creative, don’t just execute. We want to embrace your opinions and ideas that align us to business objectives.

Salary and benefits

Salary circa £48/50,000 and will be prorated depending on hours per week. Pro rata 25 days paid annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday pay. Benefits supplied on successful application.
