Job Description

Care Assistant - Domiciliary (Monday to Friday)

Pay

£14.60 per hour. Bank Holiday Rate £29.20 per hour.

Hours

Full‑time and part‑time available (contracted up to 30 hours per week).

Mileage

35p per mile (HMRC reclaim option).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal care support (bathing, toileting, dressing).
  • Administer medications safely as per guidance.
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and encourage wellbeing.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs.
  • Support with mobility assistance (e. g., transfers to chairs/wheelchairs).
  • Help with light housekeeping and maintain a safe environment.
  • Keep accurate care records and daily observations.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence, access to a car, and business insurance.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A caring, compassionate, and reliable nature.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Previous experience in care work, support work, domiciliary care, or home care is desirable but not essential – we provide full training.
