Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare the café each week, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment
- Greet members and their families, providing a warm, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere
- Build meaningful relationships with individuals living with memory loss and dementia, supporting their wellbeing
- Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities, including games, singing, reminiscence, and chair‑based exercise
- Coordinate and support volunteers, providing guidance and ensuring they feel valued and engaged
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, community groups, and professionals to enhance the café offer
- Encourage social interaction and participation, adapting activities to meet individual needs and abilities
- Monitor the wellbeing of attendees and respond appropriately to any concerns
- Undertake light record keeping, including attendance records
- Plan activities in advance, ensuring sessions are stimulating, inclusive, and person‑centred
- Maintain a safe and organised environment, following relevant policies and procedures
