£175.00 – £241.00 per day (+SEND allowance)

Contract type: Maternity cover
Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only, 35.5 hours a week
Unique School Solutions are supporting a large SEND school in Rotherham, who support students aged 5-19 with Autism (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). They are needing a SEND teacher to cover a maternity leave from November 2026, for a year. You will be expected to plan, deliver and assess bespoke schemes of work to meet the needs of the students, whilst managing a large team of teaching assistants who will be working with the students on either a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.

Essential requirements for the role:
- Previous experience of working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs, preferably ASD
- PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Ability to plan and deliver bespoke schemes of work across a range of age groups
- Personal Care experience beneficial
- Good level of physical fitness
- The ability to lead a group of teaching assistants
- Patience, empathy resilience
