Essential requirements for the role:
- 5 GCSE’s or above / equivalent including English & Maths
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting
- The ability to work under own initiative
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and policies
- The ability communicate effectively
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Working to support interventions with students who required additional mentoring to achieve GCSE
- Supporting students in small groups and individually across KS3 and KS4 as required
- Promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support including those with special needs under the direction of a class teacher/ SENCO.
