Who are we looking for:

Our Care Assistants create a warm, compassionate, and human connection with the people they support. They work closely with each person in their own home, providing tailored assistance with essential daily tasks while respecting their individuality and fostering their independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Improve quality of life with tasks such as housekeeping and shopping
  • Deliver personal care
  • Administer medication
  • Monitor the safety and wellbeing of the person
  • Build positive relationships with the person and their families
  • Use personal care plans to deliver a person-centred service
  • Be responsible for adult support and protection
  • Monitor the person’s care needs, and report any required changes for the care plan
  • Maintain good quality records and notes
  • Ensure equipment is being used effectively
  • Work in partnership with colleagues within the organisation

Essential:

  • Full driving licence and use of car for work
  • Willingness to carry out personal care, assist with basic daily living tasks, housekeeping etc., within the allocated timeframe
  • Ability to manage own time
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative
  • Ability to record and report accurate, legible and complete information
  • NISCC registration or willingness to apply on appointment
