Hours: 8am – 10pm / 173 hours per month
Shifts: 2 – 3 shifts per week / 1 sleep in per week. 3 out of 8 weekend days/month. Child-centred approach which means rostered shifts vary week to week – provided 1 month in advance.

If so, you’ll be providing the very best care for our young people with learning disabilities, who are verbal/non-verbal and have associated medical needs. What You’ll do:
- To provide high quality therapeutic support to young people as part of Unique Care Group’s service, acting as a leader, role model and co-ordinator of shifts.
- To contribute actively to the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic, homely environment, taking into account the child/young person’s wishes and preferences.
- To understand, contribute to and deliver the young person’s Care Plan daily and ensure that all the basic physical needs of the children/young people are met, providing guidance to colleagues in this regard.
- To make and support others to make decisions that are always in the best interests of the children/young people and the organisation, providing direction and challenging poor practice.
- To be alert to signs of distress, neglect or abuse, ensuring that the children/young people are monitored and protected.
- To know, understand and role model Unique Care Group’s cultural and behavioural expectations.
What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for a Team Leader with heart, resilience and unwavering commitment to quality and the best possible outcomes for our children.
What You’ll need:
- Level 3 or 4 diploma in Residential Care.
- Ideally, you’ll have a Team Leader background, but it isn’t essential.
- Strong experience supporting young people with learning disabilities.
- A track record of achieving positive outcomes and navigating confidently with Ofsted and local authority partners.
- Philosophy that only the best is good enough when it comes to the children in our care.
- Experience of managing day to day situations in the home.
- A driving license is heavily preferred, but if you don’t have one, don’t let that put you off from applying. The role is also subject to an enhanced DBS check.
- Experience of managing epilepsy is desirable but not essential.
