The Role
We are seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of our enterprise sales efforts. You will partner closely with Account Executives to drive complex, high-value AI opportunities from qualification through to close – translating Uniphore’s Business AI Cloud capabilities into compelling, customer-specific solutions. This is a highly visible role that demands both deep technical expertise and the ability to communicate confidently at every level, from hands-on IT architects to C-suite executives.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the technical lead throughout the sales cycle, partnering with Account Executives to drive enterprise opportunities from qualification to close.
- Develop and maintain a strong perspective on how AI – including large language models, agentic architectures, and RAG-based solutions – can drive measurable business value across verticals and functions.
- Understand customer pain points in adopting and implementing AI solutions, and position Uniphore as the trusted partner to address them.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and demos showcasing GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, and LLM-based capabilities tailored to each prospect’s context.
- Build and deliver custom demos and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate business value and technical feasibility.
- Conduct discovery sessions with key business and technical stakeholders to uncover needs, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Translate business requirements into AI solution architectures that leverage Uniphore’s capabilities, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs with detailed technical responses and well-reasoned solution designs.
- Advise clients on AI adoption strategies, integration with multi-modal data platforms, and industry best practices.
- Share market intelligence and competitive insights with the wider team to sharpen our regional go-to-market approach.
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, and continuous innovation.
- Build and maintain deep expertise in AI trends, competitor offerings, and the evolving landscape of agentic and enterprise AI adoption.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical consulting – preferably within enterprise SaaS, AI, or automation platforms.
- Hands-on understanding of AI concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, Agentic AI architectures, AI security and governance, and ethical AI.
- Experience designing or selling AI platforms, data orchestration, or enterprise automation solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including core services such as compute, storage, networking, and serverless functions, particularly as they relate to deploying and scaling enterprise AI and SaaS solutions.
- Practical experience with API integration and security: designing, integrating, and securing API connections between AI platforms and business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP, data warehouses), with knowledge of protocols (REST, GraphQL) and authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, API keys).
- Data and network architecture acumen – ability to discuss and propose solutions around data governance, network segmentation, and enterprise security when deploying cloud-native or hybrid AI solutions.
- Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, from technicians to C-suite executives.
- Proven track record supporting enterprise sales cycles and contributing to the close of large, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with confidence at all levels of a large enterprise.
- Strong problem-solving and storytelling skills – able to connect AI capabilities to strategic business outcomes.
- Familiarity with one or more of Uniphore’s priority sectors – banking and financial services, media and telecom, retail and CPG, government, or energy and utilities – is a strong advantage.
- Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.
