Job Description

Cardiac Services is recruiting a new position for a Service Technician in our Service department.\\nThe successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a wide range of medical devices in our workshop based in Northampton.\\nA portion of time will also be required to support devices in hospitals and other healthcare facilities in GB. They will proactively manage customer relationships, understanding the need for excellent communication, high levels of Customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.\\nAn attractive salary and benefits package is available for the right candidate for this role.\\nKey Outcomes\\n * Installations of new equipment, routine preventative maintenance and repair visits across a range of supplied and supported medical devices. The range of equipment to be serviced includes but is not limited to Patient/Fetal monitoring, ECG Recorders, Cardiology management/information systems and Diagnostic Imaging ancillary equipment.

Whilst work will mainly be in the assigned geographical area, there will be occasions where working in other parts of the UK and Ireland will be required.\\n * Comply with protocols relevant to our group-wide ERP and service management system.\\n * Liaise with customer support administration on a regular basis. Timely submission of electronic service reports and associated documentation for further processing and invoicing.\\n * Work undertaken by engineers must comply with the relevant Company Quality procedure relating to that service or activity.\\n * Attend training courses provided locally and at various manufacturers' facilities abroad.\\nKey Skills & Experiences\\n * Qualifications: a minimum QCF/RQF Level 4-5 qualification (or equivalent experience) in Clinical engineering, electronic servicing, Mechatronics, Physics, or related discipline.\\n * Experience in medical device service or electronic equipment is essential.\\n * 2 to 3 years of field service experience desirable.\\n * The candidate will be comfortable working with IT systems and networks. Although not required, an IT-related qualification would be an advantage.\\n * Full driver's license.\\n * Good analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills to resolve engineering problems.\\n * Ability to work on own initiative in a minimally supervised environment.\\n * Customer focused with excellent written and oral communication skills.
