Your responsibilities:
- You will act as a Business Partner within the strategic procurement organisation for our “Flexible Energy Northern Europe” business unit and their international assets respectively.
- Interact with international stakeholders to understand the business needs and to translate them into specific aspects of Procurement Strategy and Supplier Management and Demand Forecast planning.
- Act as a Project Procurement Lead Coordinator (PPLC). In this role, you will manage large and strategic tenders (e.g. EPC - engineering, procurement & construction), particularly those associated with multimillion GBP / Euro projects.
- Support the development and implementation of the procurement strategy in close collaboration with business unit managers.
- Drive initiatives and projects for alignment of procurement services and strategic supplier relationship management with business units.
- Prepare and run regularly a review of Supplier Segmentation and the Supplier Engagement Plans with the business unit.
- Active strategic supplier management to deliver additional value for our business (e.g. develop and ensure the delivery of Supplier Engagement Plans, identify new suppliers relevant for business strategy, Supplier based Innovation, Partnerships, etc.).
- Responsible for all aspects of strategically important tender processes, amongst other things for overall sourcing and tender strategies, supplier invitation & selection, negotiation and implementation of supplier contracts.
- Supporting team members and organization, pro-actively sharing expertise, driving learning of organisation. As part of this role, you serve as a strategic advisor to the organization.
Your profile:
- University education in economics, engineering, business administration or comparable education and equivalent professional experience.
- Deeper knowledge of the services and products to be sourced are advantageous.
- Significant experience as a Category Manager or Procurement Manager, preferably in the energy industry with proven track record of managing larger procurement projects and/or tenders (especially EPC type projects).
- Management of comprehensive & complex tenders, track record of high value claim and contract management, achieving significant value while keeping compliance top priority.
- Ability to convincingly manage a wide range of stakeholders, their conflicting requirements and cross-functional overlaps.
- Good analytical mind-set with the ability to translate business needs into requirements for procurement and supplier base.
- Demonstration of a high degree of flexibility and creativity in solving concrete problems with an attitude of pro-actively driving change and innovation.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to identify and elevate critical topics.
- International work experience, appreciation of cultural differences and teamplay; mobility/willingness to travel internationally in Europe.
- Creative and open-minded individual with a positive attitude and commitment to building and driving team culture.
- Experienced in using ERP systems, preferably SAP as well as tender process tools such as IVALUA.
- Excellent communication skills in fluent English, knowledge of additional languages, especially German, would be a plus.
