Then we will look forward to meeting you!Your responsibilitiesWe are looking for a highly qualified engineer with experience in providing office, workshop and site based technical support on steam turbines and associated balance of plant (BoP) components, acting as a technical authority for steam turbine matters across Uniper’s assets.You will:• Provide expert technical consultancy to team members and direct to stakeholders, relating to steam turbine assets, from new-build specifications to through-life support.• Provide inspection, repair, maintenance and replacement recommendations to Uniper’s in-house workshop during steam turbine overhauls;• Compile and authorise technical reports for work that you undertake, as well as reports from your own and other teams, as required, relating to steam turbine expertise;• Provide effective technical input to failure investigations and root cause analysis;• Actively contribute to R&D projects and improvement concepts relating to steam turbine plants;• Be a collaborative team player, engaging with technical specialists from other disciplines, team members, and stakeholders.Your profile• A detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of steam turbines and auxiliary equipment.• Extensive design, manufacturing and refurbishment experience.• Ability to undertake detailed component life assessment calculations.• Degree level education with equivalent extensive and relevant experience. • Chartered membership of a relevant institution or have qualifications leading to Chartered status. • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to establish and nurture effective working relationships, internally and externally. • Ability to coach and mentor technical staff. • Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets. • Ability to motivate, challenge and inspire individuals to deliver high performance. • Ability to lead by example, to develop the culture of continuous improvement.• Willingness to work flexibly and to work away from home at sites both within the UK and overseas (Netherlands, Sweden, Germany) for short and occasionally extended periods of time;• A high technical standard of written and spoken English.Your qualitiesAt Uniper, we not only reward our employees with attractive salaries, an excellent company pension and health related benefits for their hard work and dedication to shaping the future energy transition.
