Uniper UK is looking for an undergraduate to join us in September 2026 for a 12‐month internship. You will work with our site Information Security Representatives (ISR) and UK Information Security Managers (ISM) to support our journey to continuously improve the security of our UK assets. We are looking for an undergraduate with a range of interpersonal and cybersecurity skills to work directly with our UK Information Security managers.
Responsibilities
Assist and support the site ISR and ISM\’s in implementing cyber security improvements and initiatives.
Work closely with and maintain communication with all our UK sites and information security personnel working on site.
Maintain communication with our cybersecurity departments and technical departments, taking ownership of specific security implementation reviews and documentation such as asset reviews, technical drawings, and security manuals.
Manage the lower‐risk cybersecurity maintenance activities and projects for the sites.
Essential Qualifications
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Understanding of information security standards assessment frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, CAF) and ability to communicate at all levels of the business, including senior stakeholders, with confidence.
Passionate about security and continuous improvement.
Ability to work under pressure and independently with little or no supervision.
Hybrid working, including domestic travel, will be required as part of this role, with occasional international travel.
Currently studying a degree in a field such as information security, industrial automation, or computer science.
Desirable
Interest within the energy sector.
Understanding of Operational Technology (OT).
UK driving license.
