Our UK Trading IT team deliver continuous change within a fast paced business environment, we seek to identify issues and opportunities to proactively deliver solutions to the business. Our undergraduate will become an integral part of the team working alongside industry experts in full trade lifecycle within short term trading and optimisation.
Your responsibilities:
- Identify, shape, catalogue and implement business and functional requirements, in particular where there is strategic fit Uniper goals: from using data, technology, and AI to improve performance to load testing and developing automation frameworks.
- Documenting business requirements and current solutions with a view to implementing improvements in line with our IT strategy.
- Preparation of cost estimates and project timelines for completing recommended solutions.
- Provide input into user education and implementation plans.
- Identify process improvements in relation to specific projects/tasks.
- Active participation in architecture, data design and review of the applications landscape, with a focus on actively identifying and reporting project and system improvement ideas.
- Participate within incident management process, proactively taking measures to improve quality.

Your profile:
Essential:
- Studying for a university degree in Computer science, business administration, finance, maths, Artificial Intelligence or similar.
- Logical and structured way of thinking, high organizational skills with the ability to present complex topics targeted to the audience.
- Ability to demonstrate their confidence in building a partnership with the business.
- Managing individual project scope on time and to budget.
- Passionate about continuous improvement in the entire process landscape to move manual processes to a digital and automated set-up.
- Problem solving, creativity, staying positive, working under pressure, aiming high, leadership and teamwork.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Desirable:
- Understanding or experience of cloud computing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of application development lifecycle.
- Interest within Energy Industry and genuine passion for IT.
