We have a placement year opportunity available, supporting our Energy Trading environment. This critical area to our business needs to be able to react to market conditions within milliseconds, and we continually evolve and develop our IT infrastructure to keep Uniper a key player in the energy trading market.
Your responsibilities:
- Incident management and control, performing the following tasks:
- Resolving operational problems and assigned user faults when on the Day Shift Rota
- Managing the diagnosis and resolution of problems through to completion, co-ordinating with other service providers, where necessary.
- Development work for faults detected
- Reviewing impact to Energy Wholesale of changes to be implemented
- Carrying out the required communications to EW stakeholders
- Approving changes
Your profile:
Essential:
- An enthusiastic and genuine passion for IT
- An undergraduate placement as part of their degree
- Troubleshooting/Development skills
- Good communicator and motivator
- Good planning and organising skills
Desirable:
- Experience in a support role
- An understanding of the ITIL processes
- Understanding or exposure of Cloud Computing
