In this key role you\’d be working together with a wide range of stakeholders to create the market framework for cross-sector decarbonisation through for example, hydrogen and CCUS, and at the same time ensuring a viable market for the technology needed for a reliable energy system. Your responsibilities You will develop and make recommendations on policy positions, working with colleagues across the business to reach clear, consistent and evidence based positions relevant to the UK market and aligned with Uniper’s strategy You will directly represent Uniper’s position externally to a wide range of stakeholders, primarily focussed on engaging government officials, and industry bodies such as Energy UK, and CCSA Working together within the Corporate Communication and Governmental Relations team, you will advise on lobbying strategies and engagement, and support senior managers by contributing to briefs ahead of conference speaking slots and meetings with external stakeholders, including at ministerial level. You will follow energy policy and relevant developments, and promptly provide briefings for senior managers and across the business functions as necessary, co-ordinating analysis of the impact on the business Responsible for timely drafts of consultation responses, ensuring all relevant internal stakeholders are briefed and consulted as necessary and approval is secured Your profile Politically astute, with the ability to develop effective lines of argument and communicate these convincingly, orally and in writing A good understanding of the commercial, regulatory and policy areas relevant to the energy sector Ability to interpret a wide range of complex issues and work together with others to factor in Uniper’s overall strategy and business goals in developing policy positions and consultation responses Collaborative approach, people management experience, and networking skills Keen prioritisation and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Experience of working in a fast paced environment Experience of working at a professional level in a similar role in the UK e.g. government department, trade association, energy industry At Uniper, we not only reward our employees with attractive salaries, an excellent company pension and health related benefits for their hard work and dedication to shaping the future energy transition.
