We have a maternity cover opportunity supporting our Trading Operations team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and well controlled settlement services to the trading function – all deals settled on time and accurately.
  • Provide challenge to the trading function, ensuring processes and controls are consistently applied.
  • Support the development of new products working alongside stakeholders.
  • Independently align with the Front Office teams, with Credit Risk, Tax, Accounting, and with all other required stakeholders to ensure correct, timely and efficient settlement is performed by the team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of trades including validation, data quality management, implementation, settlement and documentation.
  • Be the point of contact for audit processes.
  • Ensure tracking and administration of internal controls as well as KPIs.
  • Identify and steer optimization potentials - working with the team to drive initiatives to simplify, standardize and automate processes within the department based on the Operational Excellence principles.
  • Manage (Sub-) projects as well as collaborate with other teams in projects.
  • Occasional travel to Dusseldorf will be required.

Your profile:

  • Educational or professional background in economics/accounting/business administration or similar areas.
  • Experience in commodity markets, in deal validation, pre-settlement and settlement tasks.
  • Ability to work with Front Office teams on very high value transactions, under time pressure.
  • Experience working with SAP and ETRMs.
  • Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of MS Office services.
  • UK commodity market knowledge.
  • Experience working as team lead.
  • Distinctive customer orientation and focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
