The predicted salary is between 45000 - 45000 £ per year.

Location: Trax Park, Doncaster

Salary: £45,000 per annum, plus car/car allowance, plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme.

As a Supplier Development and Quality Engineer, you will hold the key responsibility for the planning and execution of external supplier audit plans. You will manage all supplier audit activities, including warranties, risk management, and bringing non-conformances to closure.

You will also work closely with the Procurement team to continuously improve the quality and performance of the supply base using internal tools and techniques to meet business requirements.

As part of your key responsibilities you'll:

  • Lead external supplier and quality audits of the supply base, managing non-conformities to closure in line with risk management priorities, and reviewing the effectiveness of suppliers' internal audit programmes.
  • Drive and coach supplier maturity development to deliver effective Right First Time and Quality Improvement plans to improve quality and performance.
  • Work with the Procurement team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
  • Own, manage, and keep relevant the Key Performance/Risk Indicator (KPI & KRI) framework across Procurement, reporting internal process and external supplier level risk exposures and trends weekly and monthly.
  • Act as an advocate of the internal Unipart Way and its tools to deliver continuous improvement of processes and systems.

About You

  • ISO auditor certified (IRCA).
  • A proven track record, with experience in the auditing field.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and auditing methods and proven results in driving improvement to the supplier base.
  • Proven experience with supplier auditing in a regulated environment, ideally within the supply chain sector.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Good analytical orientation, with an emphasis on root cause analysis, zero defects tools/methodologies and implementation of pragmatic solutions.
  • Experience in the use of continuous improvement techniques and process improvement.
  • High level of competency in Google and Microsoft applications.
