About the Role
We are looking for the right candidate to join our Quality Department as a Quality Inspector. Reporting to the Team Leader you will be responsible for inspecting and testing of products to specifications prior to final dispatch to the customer. Any issues or non-conformance to standards / specifications would be escalated to the Senior Quality Engineer for review and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete quality and functional testing on Rail and Traffic products prior to despatch.
- Test products in accordance to established quality procedures.
- Complete Goods In quality inspections on supplied products ensuring compliance to drawings and specifications.
- Accurately record all Quality Control test results.
- Actively participate in the department supporting continual improvement.
- Liaison with operational team members, warehouse and Production Team Leaders ensuring that appropriate inspection and testing is undertaken and technical documentation is controlled.
About you:

- Can read and interpret technical drawings.
- GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent Grade A-C).
- High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good level of computer literacy.
- Competent in using measuring and test equipment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- An HNC in Mechanical / Electrical / QA Engineering would be highly desirable.
