We are looking for someone to work onsite (ideally Monday - Friday) on a part time basis to provide effective HR support to the Senior HR Business Partners, the wider HR team and the Unipart Rail and Technology Sector. There is a wide range of HR activities covered within this role covering the full employee lifecycle providing support to HRBPs and Line Managers. Please note that this is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Working in line with HR policies and procedures provide HR Support for all sites which involves absence meetings and supporting Line Management with performance at a local level.
  • With emphasis on wellbeing and engagement you will play a pivotal role in the management of both for Crewe Service Centre and providing support to HRBPs on other sites.

About You

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (clear, concise technical / operational documentation and effective reporting).
  • CIPD accreditation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google sheets and strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • You will ideally have experience of health surveillance schedules and possess excellent organisational skills.
  • You should love data and be able to manipulate large volumes of data into presentable formats for the team including the HR Director.
  • Display a growth mindset with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure, no day is the same.
  • You will have a keen interest in wellbeing and engagement with a willingness to lead on site and Group initiatives.
  • You will lead engagement activities on site working closely with the Senior HRBP to identify within budgetary constraints.
  • You will enjoy being an active Wellbeing Champion and Forum member.
  • You will have knowledge of a wide range of HR policies and procedures and employment law is required.
  • You will be site champion for a Workforce Management System (T&A) supporting managers with exceptions and queries and generate monthly reports Finance and Payroll KPIs including the Board Report.
  • Finally, you will love working within a small but perfectly formed HR Team.
