Job Purpose: To provide and co-ordinate metallurgy, gauging and goods inwards activities which assure product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cross-sectional analysis of welds and brazed joints.
- Conduct cleanliness testing.
- Creating analysis reports.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Maintain laboratory equipment to both national and approved standards for calibration and safety.
- Ensure all data, test results, material test reports, certificates of conformance and reports are retained as per customer requirements.
- Evaluate metallurgical concerns relative to both products and process and advise on their resolution.
- Sign off internal welders to agreed standard.
- Audit incoming products and supplier material test reports for compliance to specification.
- Attend training to support business changes in product, process, quality tools and laboratory equipment.
- Support a safe working environment, considering company procedures and current legislation.
