Conference and AV Assistant (Part Time)

Location: Cowley, Oxford (OX4 2PG) Hours: Part time, 30 hours per week, 12:30 – 18:30, Monday to Friday Salary: £20,880.60 per annum plus 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata), pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme About the Role You'll have an important part to play as our part-time Conference Assistant, providing all meeting room and conference equipment requirements. In a fast-paced business environment, you'll regularly set up furniture and equipment for conferences and events, as well as providing, moving and installing Audio Visual (AV) support and carrying out routine equipment maintenance. You'll also occasionally cover reception during team breaks and holidays, supporting with relevant tasks in a small Client Services team. Training will be given. As part of your key responsibilities, you'll: Set up conference and meeting rooms Move various pieces of equipment, including heavy items such as chairs, tables and flip charts, as required Organise storage areas, including furniture and AV equipment Set up Audio Visual equipment and perform daily checks of digital signage Manage equipment returns and maintenance Support conference facilitators and delegates with connecting to room AV systems and WiFi Assist with equipment installation, set-up and operation Maintain clean, tidy and organised conference rooms, storage areas and equipment About You: We'd love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you'd be able to perform well in this role! Experience in conference centre support, hospitality, facilities, or basic AV event operations would be an advantage Confident in the use of IT equipment, including display and AV equipment A confident and self-motivated individual, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team Ability to prioritise your own workload and follow instructions to meet tight deadlines Reliable, with a positive can-do attitude, a friendly and professional manner, and a willingness to learn new skills Passionate about delivering excellent customer service Good attention to detail Ability to move equipment as mentioned in the responsibilities About Unipart: We are a supply chain performance improvement partner.
