Overview
Overall Purpose of role: Visual inspection of high quality finished parts, ensuring customer standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect high quality finished parts to detailed customer quality requirements
- Checking the presence of details such as metal fixings and fixing tape
- Cross hatch testing to ensure coating adhesion
- Ensuring documentation is completed correctly, including traceability data
- Address all customer requirements
- Identify paint flaws against master plaques/samples
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints
- Use of manual and automated method for checking colour and surface finish
Competencies
- Visual defect identification
- Inspection equipment proficiency
- Knowledge of quality standards and documentation
- Attention to detail
Experience Desired & Required
- Experienced in the use of standard measuring equipment and processes (Mic’s, Vernier callipers etc.)
- Basic knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF 16949 requirements is a distinct advantage
- Interaction with MRP/ERP systems (Javelin preferably)
- Good computer literacy in particular all MS Office programs
- Experience working with injection moulding or plastic assembly processes
- Open and approachable communication abilities
- Able to work well alone and in a team
