About the Job: As Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Team Leader you will effectively embed Unipart Health, Safety, and Wellbeing policy and procedures across the shift through co-ordinating and monitoring safety related systems. You will also promote an understanding that the effective management of health, safety and wellbeing is an integral part of efficient business and operational management.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
- Support teams on health and safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment, and control measures to ensure a positive culture and high standards are achieved.
- Understand and promote the use of Unipart Group Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Policies and procedures.
- Support the delivery of the Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Plan and completion of associated actions.
- Arrange and deliver Health and Safety courses, inductions and meetings, producing materials and agendas as required.
- Facilitate the reporting and investigation of all Health and Safety incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and recommendations made are delivered to prevent recurrence and improve controls.
- Coach and mentor leaders to improve their investigation skills and ensure that lessons learned are shared across sections/departments.
- Update reports, provide statistical summaries of incidents to management and draw attention to significant trends and occurrences.
- Work alongside cross functionally to facilitate the completion of risk assessments, SOPs, audits and corrective/preventative actions.
About You:
- Minimum NEBOSH Certificate.
- Good IT skills, with knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Effective interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
- Organised with an eye for detail.
- Data interrogation, analysis, and presentation.
- Demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
- In depth knowledge of working in Logistics supply chains.
- Ability to develop and deliver training material.
- Full UK manual driving license.
