The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

To provide supervision to production teams in delivering on-time output against targets and production schedules. Help to develop world-class levels of performance and customer satisfaction through use of Unipart Way tools and techniques and by effective teamwork and continuous improvement. To co-ordinate activities to deliver product right first time, fully compliant with all specifications to the highest quality standards (zero PPM) using the most efficient processes.

Quality

  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining Quality standards within the Production area.
  • Ensure all staff comply with the Company Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Identify Quality issues as they arise, investigate with Team and Quality Leader ensuring action is taken as appropriate to ensure containment and resolution is achieved.
  • Respond to Customer issues and support full detailed investigations.
  • Review all Quality Gates (Poke Yokes) to ensure they are in place and effective by regular audit and review.

Cost

  • Control and manage time and attendance including sickness/absence using established Company Procedures.
  • Utilise resource (Hours/Material etc.) across the Production areas to achieve budgets.
  • Support delivery of change management into Production areas minimising obsolescence.
  • Understand Business KPI’s and communicate these on a regular basis to Production teams via the department comm cell.

Delivery

  • Manage, motivate and lead Production team so that productivity targets are achieved or exceeded.
  • Ensure all concerned within the Production team are aware of the targets and their importance, with the ability to explain the consequences of non-achievement.
  • To ensure Production plans are achieved to suit the Customer and budgetary needs.
  • Employ lean manufacturing techniques to achieve productivity and efficiency targets.
  • Work closely with all functions (Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics) to ensure delivery of targeted KPI’s.

People Development

  • Carry out regular meetings with Team Members regarding performance expectations, standards, attendance etc.
  • Deliver communication briefings ensuring awareness of Company and local issues.
  • Responsible for return to work interviews, training and development plans, Company Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures with support from Human Resources and Production Management.
  • To actively seek to improve your own knowledge, skills and experience to increase your contribution to the Production Team and Company’s success.
