Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager based in London. Reporting to the CFO, this role will focus on global tax structuring, tax planning for the group and joint ventures as well as all tax compliance matters. This position offers exceptional scope for development within an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Liaise with external tax advisers to support tax planning surrounding investments, joint ventures and existing businesses
  • Support with analysis and execution of international tax projects
  • Responsible for tonnage tax and corporate tax compliance
  • Tax analysis of new business opportunities and follow-up actions
  • Prepare internal materials including slide decks, tax modelling, and internal memos to support decision making processes
  • Monitor and assist in the implementation of transfer pricing policies and intercompany transactions
  • Liaise with external tax compliance providers to coordinate the preparation and review of tax returns to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Team effectively with internal accounting and treasury colleagues to support the implementation of finance system improvements as they relate to tax

Requirements:

  • Corporate tax experience in public accounting (Big Four) and / or in-house experience in international corporates.
  • Experience implementing cross-border tax projects and working with cross-functional teams across various organizational levels and jurisdictions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax matters to non-tax teams.
  • Strong project management skills are required (orderly, time management, adaptable) with the ability to work independently.
  • Agile, cooperative and supportive, and intellectually curious seeking to learn and grow.
  • Professional qualification in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA).
  • Relevant experience in a tax management role, preferably within the shipping or maritime sector.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop tax strategies that drive efficiency and reduce overall tax liability.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • 5 days required in the office.
