UML is a leading shipowner headquartered in London with a fleet of more than 70 vessels covering both tankers and dry cargo. UML's offices span three continents and its customer base continues to grow with a fleet of modern, economical vessels.

We are looking for a dynamic commercial lead for Atlantas, who will work with management on developing and executing commercial opportunities, including the expansion of technical management services and the development of a new training business. The role requires an experienced commercial lead, likely with a background in business development, strategy, or structuring, and knowledge of shipping and technical matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet management: leading strategy, business planning, and execution
  • Training: leading strategy, business planning, and execution
  • Opportunities: identifying, promoting, and executing new commercial opportunities
  • Contract negotiation and management: negotiating and managing contracts for business sustenance and growth
  • Collaboration: working with internal departments (technical, operations, finance) to support business development efforts
  • Reporting and forecasting: tracking KPIs, generating reports, and forecasting revenue
