This is a full-time role for a Governess based in the Westminster area with some work-from-home flexibility. The Governess will support four young learners in achieving their academic goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering personalised learning sessions
  • Managing communications from various schools
  • Fostering positive learning habits
  • Assisting with homework or coursework

The Governess will collaborate closely with the family and other teachers to ensure the learners' educational needs and goals are effectively met. In order to maintain consistency with their education, there is potential for Governesses to travel internationally with the family.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of 4+ and 7+ requirements for central London independent schools
  • Experience working with young learners or students in an educational setting both individually and in groups
  • Effective communication and schedule management skills
  • Skilled at creating bespoke resources to encourage at-home learning
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate subject material for children aged 2-7 years old
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, English, or a related field
  • Professional, positive, calm and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to meet weekly, monthly and annual objectives
  • Background in teaching, tutoring or child development
  • Proficiency in planning and delivering personalised learning sessions
  • Capable of supervising activities or engaging in child-care
