This unique 12-month graduate program is based in London and offers a permanent contract. It provides in-depth, practical exposure across various areas of the business within a renowned private bank. The program is designed for recent master’s graduates to gain insights into the finance industry and develop essential skills for a successful career in private banking. The program includes two 6-month rotations: one in the Client Strategy Office (CSO) and one as Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM), after which candidates may transition to a permanent role.
Role Description
The role has a broad remit:
- In the CSO team, the successful candidate will report to the Head of Client Strategy Office and work with Wealth Management teams on:
- Sales & Performance: Build KPIs/dashboards, track banker metrics, manage pipeline, support budgeting, prepare senior management materials.
- Pricing & Strategy: Support the pricing tool, ensure profitability, provide insights; partner with team leaders on client targeting and campaigns.
- Project Management: Lead commercial initiatives, close audit points, ensure regulatory compliance, develop front-office tools, track actions versus the strategic plan.
- Clients: Maintain relationships, be backup for RM, prepare/run follow-ups.
- Execution: Own cash management; execute/settle FX, cash, equities, FI.
- Onboarding & Compliance: Open accounts end-to-end; deliver KYC/AML and reviews.
- Credit: Prepare/administer loan and credit requests.
- Growth: Spot cross-sell opportunities; support RM revenue.
- Improvement: Streamline processes; keep product/market knowledge current.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Recent graduate with a master’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Media & PR, Economics or Engineering from a highly recognised university.
- Work Experience: Relevant initial work experience in the finance industry (internship) is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Office tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required.
