With 20+ years of expertise, Unily unites people, technology, and knowledge into action through the only AI-native employee experience platform. As the intelligent digital front door to work, Unily helps enterprises from 1,000 to 100,000+ employees, including Estée Lauder Companies, CVS Health, and British Airways, remove friction, increase clarity, and accelerate productivity so work moves faster.

Job Purpose

As we continue to expand our market share in the rapidly emerging Employee Experience platform category, we are looking for a Product Designer (mid-senior) on a 6-month fixed term contract to help shape the next generation of Unily’s platform as we evolve towards an AI-native future. This is not a traditional UX role. You’ll be expected to think like a builder, working hands-on with Product and Engineering to rapidly prototype, validate, and ship high-quality experiences.

Main Responsibilities

  • Elevate the visual quality of the product through strong UI, interaction design, and a high bar for craft and polish.
  • Explore solutions that push the boundaries of user experience by rapidly prototyping ideas at varying levels of fidelity, from concept to near-production, to test and validate direction.
  • Create user flows and journey maps to communicate design intent.
  • Lead and contribute to user research initiatives to uncover insights, validate assumptions, and inform product direction.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders and users.
  • Advocate for user needs throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring solutions are grounded in real-world insights.
  • Apply behavioral design principles to create intuitive, engaging experiences that account for cognitive biases and heuristics.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, and validation, integrating them into day-to-day workflows.
  • Strong judgement in when to go deep on UX and research vs when to move quickly and iterate.
  • Collaborate in a “builder” model with Product and Engineering, contributing to solution shaping, not just design execution.
  • Work closely with the Design Systems team to ensure consistency and alignment with established UI patterns across omni-channel experiences.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our design practice by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and championing UX best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a portfolio that shows high-quality UI craft in shipped products.
  • Clear design taste and a strong sense of craft, with high standards for interaction quality, motion, layout, and visual detail.
  • Demonstrable experience using AI tools as part of the design process.
  • Ability to quickly create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes to test and communicate ideas.
  • Strong in UX design and user research within cross-functional product teams.
  • Expertise in designing user flows, journey maps, and wireframes for complex digital products.
  • Comfortable working in a highly iterative, fast-moving environment with blurred boundaries between design, product, and engineering.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around user needs.
  • Proficiency in modern design, research and AI tooling.
  • Experience of working with comprehensive design systems and adhering to WCAG guidelines.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments.

We are united by a shared purpose and are committed to truly understanding each other. We strive to have a diverse workforce that embraces and celebrates one another.
