We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with extensive experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, a solid background in project management, and impeccable communication skills. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of tools such as CAD, SAP, and other project management software, and will be responsible for managing site projects from detailed design through to project completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, with minimal impact on site operations.
Key Attributes
- Engineering Degree qualification or Mechanical/Electrical based apprenticeship qualification
- 5+ years' Engineering experience preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Decisive & ability to make decisions quickly and effectively to meet deadlines
- Excellent numeric and analytical skills
- Highly motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative & as part of team
- Team player who will work with others and individually to achieve company goals
- Methodical with excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent problem‐solving skills and ability to quickly identify practical solutions

Key Tasks and Duties
- Work within the ethos and standards of the company.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe, clean working environment and permit system is adhered to.
- Site Project Management of all Capex Projects and relevant operation projects that are assigned to.
- Contractor Management ensuring Health & Safety procedures are in line with company policies.
- Sourcing cost‐effective solutions & working with OEM's/Suppliers for best return on investment.
- Lead projects from detailed design to successful CAR approval stage.
- Flexible working hours and days to meet Project deadlines & schedules.
- Completion of snag lists, site handover protocols and updating site folders.
- Effective planning, co‐ordination, and communication with site departments.
- Liaise with relevant departments to assist in the smooth running of the organisation during project stages.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager UK/IRL Manager to drive change & adhere to industry best practice.
- Communicating effectively with Engineering Department between Unilin sites.
- Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.
- Travel may be required to Unilin & OEM sites.
