We are looking for a skilled General Operative to join our team. The focus of this role is to complete all GO1 tasks to a high standard, by constantly challenging the status quo and being at the forefront of evolution, continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare, whilst promoting Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus and team approach.

Working Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00/ 14:00 - 22:00 rotating weekly.

Key Accountabilities
  • Health & Safety: To encourage and practice working in a safe manner as set out in the Health and Safety policy.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure they are supporting the team in performing to quality standards in terms of product quality and housekeeping.
  • Trial / Improvements: Participate in processes and production trials as and when required to ensure that they run successfully and support the technical department.
  • Area / Line Performance: Adherence to plan and achieving line speeds, meeting standards required. Able to share knowledge with others and support with ‘in house’ training.
  • Communication: Effective communication throughout the department. Ability to communicate with people clearly and effectively.
  • Administration: Carry out necessary administrative tasks and ensure that systems are updated as required. Ensuring correct and accurate data recording.

  • Work within the ethos and standards of the company.
  • Work in all areas of the factory.
  • Complete training and all functions of GO1 Grade 1.
  • Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas.
  • Keep up to date knowledge of all products.
  • Ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner.
  • Follow work instructions in all areas.
  • Complete and pass GO1 training in your designated area.
  • Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • You are responsible for your own Health & Safety and the Health and Safety of your fellow employees.
  • Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure area is prepared for start up to include correct labels and packaging.
  • Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas.
  • Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines.
  • Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management.
