We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player, capable of maintaining high standards of work and coordinating activities to optimize performance. Additionally, the candidate should promote Unilin's core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus, and teamwork. This is a permanent role, with continental 12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights: 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off.
Key Attributes:
- Mechanical/Electrical based apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 4+ years’ Maintenance Technician experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Multi-skilled Technician experience (Mechanical & Electrical)
- Decisive with the ability to make quick and effective decisions to meet deadlines
- Excellent numeric and analytical skills
- Highly motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
- Team player committed to achieving company goals
- Methodical with excellent organizational and communication skills

Key Tasks and Duties:
- Work within the ethos and standards of the company
- Troubleshoot and repair all factory equipment (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical)
- Identify root causes of problems and suggest process improvements for long-term solutions
- Maximize production efficiency and restore full capacity promptly
- Record all breakdowns in the Pemac CMMS system
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance as per schedules and suggest improvements
- Maintain spare parts stock systems and ensure proper utilization
- Dismantle, adjust, modify, improve, and assemble factory equipment according to plans and manuals
- Participate in machine installations, continuous improvements, and maintenance projects
- Work with Maintenance Manager to address downtime causes and suggest improvements
- Ensure achievement of all production and maintenance KPIs
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safety standards
- Liaise with relevant departments for smooth operations
- Undertake additional tasks as requested by management
- Attend training such as MEWP, Forklift, Abrasive Wheel, etc.
- Provide cover for Maintenance Technicians when needed
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available for overtime
- Complete advanced training (Confined Spaces, First Aiders, etc.)
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
- Support and guide Apprentices & Trainees
