We are currently seeking an interim Product Performance Testing Technician to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment. The position is based at our client’s scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £25,935 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

Home Care category relies on the functionality of its products to delight consumers. Exciting and powerful claims and creative benefit demonstrations are a key part of getting consumers to choose any specific brand. Product performance testing plays a key role to shape, define and support all claims for all our global brands.

Within this role you will work to support Fabric Enhancers projects, specifically supporting the Product Performance Testing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-washing of various fabrics for performance and sensory testing
  • Washing of fabrics for performance and sensory testing
  • Organisation of sensory swatches for testing
  • Planning and organising fabrics stocks to meet testing requirements
  • Attending appropriate team meetings
