Job Description
Manpower are currently seeking an interim Product Marketing Claims Specialist, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based at our client’s scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying between £29,719 – £33,021 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

Key Accountabilities
- Start and end with our consumer; analysing consumer and scientific data to extract insights from a range of sources to help identify new superior propositions, claims or demo opportunities.
- Require the ability to translate scientific data into claims and demonstrations of superior science.
- Work at pace, across R&D functions to translate project briefs into robust claims strategies
- Support the co-ordination of research briefs, working closely with internal functions and third parties to ensure successful outcomes, creating new insights; new fuel for desirable innovations.
- Support the development and execution of consumer-centric workshops, co-creation or ideation sessions to translate scientific concepts into consumer-relevant language
- Involve collaborating with others both internally and externally (e.g. with influencers, experts, consumers) to create storytelling ideas for our technologies
- Present data and study outcomes effectively with compelling storytelling and clear implications and recommendations to a range of stakeholders, across multiple functions.
- Demonstrate unwavering integrity in relation to our consumer, ethics, data and claims. Deliver rock-solid substantiation of claims or insights via robust data linkages and strong, yet elegant rationales.
Key Requirements
- You have Consumer research/product design/technical marketing experience. As well as a hunger to learn about consumers, the beauty domain and to share new ideas and observations with the team.
- Preferably, you hold a degree in a physical or social science. Some chemistry background would be great; curiosity for consumers, the latest innovation and technology, together with a passion for Beauty is essential.
- You are creative, with a fluency in social media apps such as Instagram and Tik Tok. Ideally, you have an awareness and keen interest in social style content creation.
- Strong in communication, you can simplify messages to bridge the gap between marketing and science.
- You possess fabulous people skills; building and maintaining authentic relationships
- Able to take initiative and accountability to drive continuous improvement of the quality of work our team delivers
- Problem solving and demonstrable judgement in intelligent risk-taking.
