Job Title: Data Analyst - Safety, Health and Environment
Business Function: SHE, Supply Chain
Location: Leeds (Local (Inside UK) Relocation Assistance is considered)
JOB PURPOSE
We make some of the UK’s best-known personal care brands in Leeds. Our Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) team keeps our people safe, protects our environment and keeps our site compliant. As our site becomes more data-led, we need sharper, faster ways to turn SHE information into clear insight and action. We’re looking for someone who loves data, problem-solving and making work simpler – and wants to use those skills for something that genuinely matters. You’ll build dashboards, automations and reports that help our leaders see where the real risks are, so we can spend less time chasing information and more time acting on the insights that make our operations safer for people and the environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for safety, health and environmental performance
- Automate the reporting that’s currently manual - using Power Automate, Power Apps, Forms and AI tools such as Copilot
- Own the quality of our SHE data: collect it, check it, and make sure what we report is right, first time
- Spot trends and outliers, explain what they mean, and help us decide where to focus next to improve SHE performance
- Work with operations, engineering, finance and our global SHE teams to turn the data into action
ALL ABOUT YOU
- Strong digital, analytical and data communication skills (or the appetite and evidence that you can get there fast)
- Confidence working with imperfect data - cleaning, modelling and making it trustworthy
- Curiosity about how a factory works and a genuine interest in health, safety and sustainability
- A degree, apprenticeship or demonstrable self-taught capability in data, analytics or a related field
- You don’t need A SHE qualification – we’ll teach you the safety and environment side
- Manufacturing experience – we’ll show you the factory floor
What you’ll get
Real ownership from day one - this will be your remit, with the autonomy to build tools, improve processes and enable better data-led decisions. A development pathway into SHE, data or both, with exposure to global Unilever teams. A visible role with our site leadership team. The opportunity to work within a fantastic team at a world-class manufacturing facility.
What We Offer
- Not only do we offer a competitive salary and pension scheme, we also offer an annual bonus, subsidised gym membership, a discounted staff shop and shares.
- You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with our renowned and exciting brands in a flexible and hybrid working environment.
- Whilst the role is advertised on a full-time basis, we would be happy to discuss possible flexible working options and what this may look like for you.
- We are a key advocate of wellbeing and offer a variety of support for our people including hubs, programmes and development opportunities.
- We strive to achieve a family-friendly and inclusive workplace and to, above all, create possibilities for all.
Diversity at Unilever is about inclusion, embracing differences, creating possibilities and growing together for better business performance.
We embrace diversity in our workforce.
This means giving full and fair consideration to all applicants and continuing development of all employees regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership, and pregnancy and maternity.
We are also more than happy to provide reasonable adjustments during our application and interview process to enable you to be present your best self.
Better Business. Better World. Better You. We’ve been pioneers, innovators and future-makers for over 120 years.
