An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Generalist to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil & Simple based at their manufacturing facility in Burton upon Trent, Derbyshire. This is a full-time temporary role for 12 Months, working a 39 hour week, to start ASAP, this role will be based on site, This role is paying up to £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. *Due to the urgent nature of this role, we cannot accept any applications that have a longer notice period of 1 month!! Role Purpose: As a HR Generalist you will be the primary contact for all line managers and employees providing clear and consistent application of employee policies and practices and creating positive key employee moments such as onboarding, career growth, time off. You will be part of the Employee Experience team – this group of colleagues strives to create and deliver slick processes for every employee journey there is. Key Responsibilities: The HR Generalist will be able to directly make a positive impact on each key stage of an employee’s lifecycle and be the key person to positively influence and shape the employee experience at times which are critical in their career. Key to the smooth running of HR Operations within the UK business, working with Employees, Line Managers, HRBPs and other business partners within the function you are partnering, you will: Guide Leaders and HRBPs in relation to HR policies and procedures (such as performance improvement, discipline, grievances, absence management etc), coaching them through the process and ensuring they have a good understanding of the legal requirements. Our role with ER can be very hands-on, writing scripts, creating outcome letters, etc. to support cases through to completion. You will be the key point of contact for absence management for the factory. Take a proactive approach to employee relations, reviewing data and spotting any employee relations trends, recommending solutions and coaching Line Managers to take any actions you feel are the right steps to take/ tackle problems before they grow. Manage onboarding, job move and exit employee engagement. Own the end-to-end employee cycle – partnering line managers and acting as a single point of contact for employees in your function area, through key career moments such as onboarding, role moves locally and globally, career growth, parental leave, time off, exit, etc. Provide coaching and support to line managers in employee experience. As People Partner, you will be a wellbeing ambassador, championing positive health and wellbeing, and promoting the resources available to support our people. Work side-by-side with teams across HR (HRBPs, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition etc), providing support and subject matter expertise to recommend appropriate actions to address queries or problems. Skills & Experience: You’ll have experience of employee relations and case management, including knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations You will have great attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills, a passion for delivering great customer experience and you can spot an opportunity to improve a process at a mile off You will be experienced in handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy, you are comfortable having difficult conversations, working professionally and discreetly with sensitive information Both the what and the how are important to us – explaining requirements/processes is key, but first comes the critical step of gaining buy-in from your stakeholders. Therefore, you’ll have strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with trust & confidence, as well as having the ability to influence.
